Asian Restaurant of Malaysian Delights
Established in the leafy southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, Bull Creek Hawker brings nostalgic and mouth-watering Malaysian delights from the bustling alleys and laneways of Malaysia straight to your tummy.
We are a family of chefs from the southern Malaysian city of Malacca, famous for it’s pirates and chicken rice. We have honed our craft over many generations working in kitchens around Perth and Malaysia, and we have lovingly and painstakingly passed down our recipes and skills through two generations of Malaysian Hawker Food Chefs, with each generation adding their own flavour, flair and passion.
At our restaurant, you can find an abundant variety of traditional hawker foods, including fried noodle dishes such as our wok-fired Fried Kuey Teow or Mee Goreng, soup noodle dishes such as our deliciously rich and spicy Curry Laksa, BBQ meat and rice dishes such as aromatic Hainanese Chicken Rice and our golden and tasty roasted duck rice and main dishes such as the aromatic and addictive Assam Fish or our sizzling Japanese tofu. Additionally, having a Hakka Chinese background (one of the main Chinese ethnic groups) we celebrate our heritage with Hakka specials from time to time such as Hakka Yong Tau Fu.
We love our wide and varied clientele. Our restaurant serves not only as a beacon for those who are longing for a taste and reminder of home, or those who have fallen in love with the colour and excitement of Malaysian cuisine from their travels abroad, but we also love to welcome the intrepid newcomer to Malaysian Chinese Hawker food. If you’ve never tried it before, be prepared for your taste buds to come alive with flavour. Whichever type of client you are and whatever your background, you can rest assured that when you pay Bull Creek Hawkers a visit, you are in for a treat!
Amongst our valued customers who we have come to call friends and neighbours, Bull Creek Hawkers has fast become a weekly staple and ritual for many of our loyal and regular customers. We are honoured to receive their awesome feedback and fantastic reviews, although we know that no review speaks to us as loudly or as powerfully as an empty plate, a full tummy and a smile on the face.
Open from 11 am to 2:30 pm for lunch and 5 pm to 8 pm for dinner from Monday to Sunday (closed Thursdays) we have dine-in seating, receive take away orders and are able to fill larger catering orders with advance notice. For those early risers amongst you, also located close by in the nearby surrounding suburb of Willetton is our sister restaurant ‘Enak Kopitiam’. Enak Kopitiam serves hawker breakfast, brunch and lunch favourites with a modern twist, while Bull Creek Hawkers specialises in traditional lunch and dinner hawker favourites.
